Working with us
Anna Freud is a mental health charity and we’ve been supporting children and young people for over 70 years. We listen to and learn from their diverse voices and integrate this with learnings from our science and practice to develop and deliver mental health care.

Our EDI commitment
We’re dedicated to fostering a diverse workplace and being an equal opportunities employer. All candidates who meet the job criteria will be considered for employment, regardless of ethnic origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, socioeconomic background, caring responsibilities and care experience.
As we outline in our EDI progress report, we seek to increase ethnic diversity in leadership positions, improve disability representation and balance gender representation in our workforce.
We particularly encourage applications from disabled people and people from minoritised ethnic backgrounds. To help address our overall gender imbalance identified in our 2023 gender pay gap report, we also welcome men to apply for our entry-level roles.
We ask candidates to share their diversity dimensions with us to help us identify, tackle and prevent bias across the employee lifecycle.
All applications are submitted anonymously to our hiring managers and assessed using a fair evaluation process based on the criteria set out in our job profiles.
We believe that a diverse workforce enhances our ability to support mental health and wellbeing, allowing us to better meet the needs of the children, young people and families we serve.
