Living in London

Accommodation

UCL offers several different options for accommodation across London. Students may wish to consider the location of Anna Freud, where the majority of lectures take place, when looking into accommodation options. The UCL Accommodation Office offers further information.

Student life

There are many ways in which you can enjoy student life in London. For more information about managing costs, travel and making the most of your time in London visit Living in London.

Meeting new people

One thing we hear consistently from our students is how much they enjoy the small intimate environment at Anna Freud and how this facilitates students quickly getting to know each another. Many of our students come from across the world and often arrive to find they have much in common and go on to form lifelong friendships.

Once you have been accepted onto a course, we will put you in touch with others who have also been accepted so that you can begin to share the experience from the very beginning. You are likely to share some teaching with students from other MSc programmes, so you will be exposed to a broad cross section of students from many different countries, all with an interest in child development.

International students

UCL has put together a Study Abroad Guide in order to help international students, with limited familiarity of London, plan their studies at UCL and Anna Freud.
