Child Outcomes Research Consortium (CORC)
The Child Outcomes Research Consortium (CORC), a project of Anna Freud, brings together organisations and individuals committed to collecting and improving evidence to improve children and young people’s mental health and wellbeing. CORC are leading experts in measuring mental health outcomes.
About CORC
Within Anna Freud’s vision, of a world where every child and young person can achieve their full potential, CORC’s vision is for all children and young people’s wellbeing support to be informed by real-world evidence so that every child thrives.
CORC promotes the meaningful use of evidence to enable more effective child-centred support, services and systems to improve children’s mental health and wellbeing.
CORC was founded in 2002 by a group of mental health professionals determined to understand the impact of their work. Today, CORC’s network includes mental health providers, education settings, cultural and community services, local authorities, professional bodies and research institutions, from across Europe and beyond.
Using evidence in a meaningful way, through research, analysis and data, can help make children’s mental health support more effective, responsive and focussed on desired outcomes.

Small, medium and large size organisations, and individuals supporting young people’s mental health and wellbeing, can become a CORC member. Outcomes and experience measures
CORC provides free downloadable measures, supporting information and guidance and easily accessible resources for those looking to measure children and young people’s mental health and wellbeing. The measures include questionnaires you can fill in electronically, plus feedback and outcome measures for children and young people with learning disabilities.
CORC for Schools
CORC supports education providers to understand the needs of their pupils and staff, and to monitor the impact of support they provide. Wellbeing Measurement for Schools , a collaboration with the Evidence Based Practice Unit, provides online pupil and staff surveys. CORC help education settings to select the most appropriate monitoring and evaluation approach, measure the impact of specific interventions and can provide analysis and reporting to help you identify successes and challenges.
