National Centre for Family Hubs
Anna Freud leads The National Centre for Family Hubs, a new national initiative funded by the Department for Education, to help ensure all babies, children and families have the support they need through a network of Family Hubs across England.
The National Centre for Family Hubs will be a learning network that will champion Family Hubs and spread best practice on evidence-based service models to Family Hub providers across England.
Family Hubs across England will aim to ensure that all families have access
to the same high quality services and supportive relationships within their local area. Family Hubs will be designed to provide family help early, when it is needed – from pregnancy, through the child's youngest years and later childhood, and into adolescence until they reach the age of 24.
All the work of the National Centre for Family Hubs will be guided by three main principles:
What the evidence tells us works and is good value for money
What families tell us they need and want
What Family Hub providers tell us about effective delivery
