Freena trained as a Clinical Associate Applied Psychologist and completed her clinical MSc in Applied Psychology for Children and Young People at the University of Edinburgh in 2015. She has worked primarily in NHS Specialist CAMHS, alongside having opportunities to work in third-sector organisations and local authority’s Children’s Services.
Freena’s role at East London NHS Foundation Trust as Senior CAMHS Clinician involved leading and developing the Early Help CAMHS team, with the aim of forming strong links with local authorities as part of the integration between health, education and social care. She developed the local CAMHS training strategies, supervised CAMHS clinician’s, early help practitioner’s, and CYP IAPT therapy trainees as well as completing the PG Certificate in CYP IAPT Management & Leadership alongside this role.
