Book NATP training

On this page, you can book four-day NATP training courses and specialist refresher days for NATP delegates.

The National Autism Trainer Programme (NATP) course runs over four days and is delivered completely online. The training is suitable for mental health professionals working in the seven NHS regions in England, and other relevant staff, who currently work or may work with diagnosed or undiagnosed autistic people in the following settings: 

  • Adult inpatient mental health hospitals 

  • Children and young people inpatient mental health hospitals 

  • Adult community mental health services

  • Child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS) community settings 

  • Residential special schools and colleges 

  • Health and justice settings  

Course places are funded by NHS England for eligible staff.

A two-day orientation course is also available for those NHS staff who attended the pilot Autism Inpatient Train the Trainer course in 2022 with either AT-Autism and Anna Freud, or Maudsley Learning. Please email training@annafreud.org for more information.
