"Really interesting information, initially I did not know anything about mentalizing however it showed me that it was something I was already doing, just not formalised with a name. I found it really helpful seeing the video that demonstrated Gema doing this and wish there had been more of this! All the visuals were also really helpful and enabled a better understanding." Participant, March 2024
"I liked the models and tools, images, the thermometre (this was a typo but quite a fitting word) and the feelings matrix." Participant, March 2024

We are delighted to announce that due to the generous funding of The Chesser Trust, we are able to allocate funded places on this course for psychotherapy trainees who are placed in under-fives and early years settings. This is to support the development of your practice with this age group, who are often overlooked in therapeutic training and provision.
As a result of structural barriers leading to the under-representation of people with particular protected characteristics within the therapeutic workforce, we are prioritising funded places for people who identify as being minoritised. This includes, but is not limited to, people who are ethnically minoritised, LGBTQIA+ people, people with a disability and people who identify as being from a working-class background and/or who are on low income (less that £19,200 annually, before tax). All applicants must be a permanent resident in the UK.
Please complete the application form and send with supporting documentation (proof of training course and proof of placement) by Monday 15th May to apply (please see application form for more details). Eligible applications will be awarded on a first come, first served basis.
