About this training
This training is a two-day CPD event to introduce a model for providing Group DIT that will link to the key group analytic competences, adaptations to the DIT individual model at all three phases of DIT. The course will address theory of running psychodynamic brief groups, adjustments to the DIT model around each phase of DIT, how to select for Group DIT, practicalities around the model and particular challenges of working in this way in an NHS Talking Therapies setting.
There will be opportunities to practise these skills through small group work on both days as well as opportunities for reflection and questions. Clinical examples of Group DIT will be presented as part of the training.
This training aims to:
provide an approach to Group DIT that can be offered in NHS Talking Therapies services to reach a wider group of patients in a more cost-effective way
elaborate the key adaptations and challenges posed to the DIT model at each phase of Group DIT
provide opportunities to practice these skills through exercises and role play in small break-out groups.
This training is for:
all DIT practitioners who wish to go on to practice Group DIT in their services.
