Early Years in Mind conference: Creating connections for lasting relationships
An in-person event offering a unique opportunity to connect with other Early Years professionals and hear about the benefits of technology to cultivate early years relationships.
About this conference
The Early Years team at Anna Freud proudly hosts the Early Years in Mind conference: Creating connections for lasting relationships. This is an in-person event offering a unique opportunity to connect with other Early Years professionals and hear about the benefits of technology to cultivate early years relationships.
The opening keynote session focuses on the Video Interaction Guidance (VIG) - a strengths-based intervention for improving communication within relationships. VIG uses guided video feedback to reflect on successful interactions in order to promote positive change. The Hackney Educational Psychology Service and Family Hubs have teamed up to provide a community focused, therapeutically driven, and versatile VIG service for parents/carers in the borough. Members of the VIG team will be sharing, discussing and reflecting on their work so far, along with presenting an insight to listeners who may be thinking about accessing VIG or bringing VIG to their service.
The conference also features other exciting keynotes from leading Early Years professionals and Share and Learn sessions.
Aims of this conference
To explore the positive influence of technology in developing relationships through the Toddlers, Tech and Talk study.
To look at how Video Interaction Guidance (VIG) has been used with families in Hackney as a way of building communication and interaction.
Who is this conference for?
This conference is suitable for staff working in early years settings.
