This webinar will consist of a panel discussion, followed by a Q&A with the speakers. Discussion will focus on:
the 'ripple effect' of birth trauma and the early years
supporting families who have experienced birth trauma
highlighting racial health inequalities and racial disparities in birth outcomes.
The webinar will be captioned.

Speakers:
Dr Grace Baptie, Policy and Research Associate at Anna Freud, discussing her new resource ‘Birth trauma in the early years’. This has been written for and reviewed by Early Years practitioners.
Lorna Crossan, Parent Participation Advisor at Anna Freud, discussing her own experience of birth trauma and the impact of this.
Dr Elizabeth Egbase, consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist, discussing birth trauma and racial health inequalities.
Kieran Anders, operations manager for Dad Matters, a perinatal and parent/infant mental health peer support service developed and delivered by Home-Start schemes in the UK. Keiran will discuss the service's experience as an expert witness for dads' experiences of birth trauma in this year's birth trauma enquiry.

The webinar is suitable for early years practitioners, but will also be helpful for other practitioners including psychiatrists, psychologists and local authority staff members.
