How can schools and child and adolescent mental health services work together better?
Do you work in a school? Want to contribute to policy and commissioning on how schools and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) can work best together? Fill in our short survey!
If you are part of your school’s senior leadership team, are a pastoral lead, inclusion manager or equivalent, please click here.
If you are any other member of school staff, please click here.
Current government policy, as laid out in the Future in Mind report (2015), emphasises the role of schools in supporting mental health with a vision of greater interagency collaboration underpinning this.
We would like to invite you to help inform national developments in this area. And we are gathering information on what is currently happening in schools across England in terms of mental health support, what the key challenges are and what possible solutions might be.
The aim is to ensure that schools, NHS CAMHS and other providers can work together to support children’s and young people’s mental health as effectively as possible.
The survey should only take 5 minutes to complete and there are two options:
- If you are part of your school’s senior leadership team, are a pastoral lead, inclusion manager or equivalent, please click here.
- If you are any other member of school staff, please click here.
The Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families, UCL and the University of Exeter have launched the consultation, working in partnership with the Schools Health and Wellbeing Research Network and NHS Strategic Clinical Network.
The results of this consultation will be presented and debated at a national event on the 28th July in central London. The summary of findings will be used to inform NHS CAMHS commissioning guidance.
If you would like to contribute to the discussion please click on the links above. You can also register for the free national event.
To guarantee that your comments can inform commissioning decisions going forward, please complete these brief surveys by Monday 13th July.
