Have you ever wondered what’s going on in your child’s mind?
We are delighted to announce that we will be hosting a free talk for local parents and families on 20th October at 19:00 that will look at the “Reflective Parenting” approach.
Reflective parenting is an approach that helps parents better understand their children, manage their behavior, and build their relationship and connection with them.
For this talk, Dr. Sheila Redfern, co-author of the new book ‘Reflective Parenting’, will explore how we can transform our understanding of the parent-child relationship and bring meaningful change to our own family relationships.
This talk will be an opportunity to bring everyday parenting concerns into a context of reflection and understanding. Dr. Redfern will translate the research findings and concepts relating to emotion understanding and behavior management into ordinary language and practical parenting so that you will be able to use these in your interactions with your children in a way that will help them to manage their emotions and behavior better, and for you and your child to feel closer to one another.
The Mayor of Camden, Councillor Nadia Shah, will introduce the talk.
The floor will be open to questions and discussion following the 30-minute talk.
Who is this talk for? With this event, we hope to engage families from within the local community.
