About this training
This training is being run by Mentalizar México.
The MBT practitioner level training is made up of two days of live, instructor-led content. Participants will be required to do various tasks before, in-between and after the live, instructor-led sessions. This may require participants to demonstrate their own use of basic MBT interventions via video/audio and other role play exercises.
This training will take place in-person at the Ejecutivo Express Hotel in Guadalajara, Mexico.
Please note this training will be delivered in English with simultaneous Spanish translation therefore this training is suitable for Spanish-Speakers only.

Course trainer - Dr Anthony Bateman
Prof Anthony W Bateman MA, FRCPsych consults to Anna Freud about MBT training. He is Visiting Professor University College, London and Honorary Professor in Psychotherapy University of Copenhagen.
Anthony Bateman developed Mentalization-Based Treatment with Peter Fonagy for borderline personality disorder and wrote the manual for mental health professionals on Structured Clinical Management of Personality Disorder. He received a senior scientist award from British and Irish group for the Study of Personality Disorder in 2012 and in 2015 the annual award for "Achievement in the Field of Severe Personality Disorders" from the BPDRC in the USA.
Who is this training for?
This training is suitable for Spanish-Speaking mental health and other professionals ( e.g., Mental Health Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Social Workers, Psychotherapists) who are interested in the treatment of personality disorder and have already completed the MBT Basic training course.
Participants are expected to have been using mentalizing skills in their everyday practice and to have participated in supervision. In terms of the Quality Assurance Manual, they should also be working towards Level B (practitioner status).
