Centre confirmed as partner charity of St Andrew’s Charity Fashion Show

The Anna Freud National Centre for Children and families has been confirmed as the charity partner for the 2018 St Andrews Charity Fashion show.

Currently in it’s 26th year, the event marks the highlight of the St Andrews social calendar and always draws huge crowds. However, their aim is not only to put on a great show but also to raise funds for their partner charities and awareness of their work. To date, The St Andrews Charity Fashion show (FS) have have donated over £430,000 to worthy causes.

Fundraising Manager at AFNCCF, Jenny Ricketts said,

We are thrilled that St Andrews Charity Fashion show has chosen to support us in our work with children and young people.

Mental health is a major issue within the student population, with eight out of ten students in an NUS survey reporting experience of mental health issues in the previous year. It is therefore vital that support is given to this population and we continue to invest in improving the quality, accessibility and effectiveness of mental health treatment.”

The Director of Charity at FS, Sam Carter said,

'We couldn't be happier to be partnering with the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families.

We were really looking for a charity this year that could tap in to the minds of the student body, and I don't think we could have found a better charity that mirrors our ambition and values.”

We would like to send a huge thank you to the FS team for selecting us as their charity partner for the coming year and we look forward to working together to help raise awareness of the mental health challenge and help people to feel more comfortable with their everyday mental well-being.
